Sorry, NO. At barkers we are a dedicated rehab centre and your dog will go into the pool or treadmill with one of our qualified rehab specialists who will be able to feel your dogs movement and make appropriate adjustments to your dogs gait or movement in order to gain the desired improvement. Dogs attending for water confidence will also swim with staff for safety reasons and to ensure your dog has a positive experience.

2. Are your staff qualified?

The idea that all dogs can swim is a myth, many can’t. At barkers our staff are fully trained and highly experienced in managing dogs that are not so keen on getting wet. Please note, we will never force your dog into the water against his will and will discontinue sessions if your dog becomes distressed.
